An Example, Entering Custom Text
 
There are four types of custom text you can program for the system. Idle Text, Service Text, ABC Key Text, 
and Point Text.
 
Table 22 describes the procedure for entering custom text at the keypad. You might find it helpful to set up the 
system and try entering the text as shown. Change the default point text for Point 2, 
PT2 PART/DELAY
, to 
GARAGE
.
 
The procedure starts from the first prompt in View Mode.

The first display in View Mode appears. 
The second line shows the factory default for the first prompt in the first group 
(1.1), 0000.

Press the [C] key eleven times to scroll the display to the first prompt in Group

Press the [*] key to move to the second prompt in Group 12.

Press the [A] key to enter Modify Mode.

first character in the scroll list.

For this example, enter “GARAGE” for the Point 2 custom text. Press the [C] 
key to scroll forward through the scroll list. After the first press, the display

Press the [C] key five more times to scroll

Continue using the [C] key and the [*] key to enter GARAGE.

If your display looks correct (

by  pressing the [*] key to learn how to recover.

You can quickly remove the last “A” by pressing any of the numeric keys (0 to 
9) to backspace. 
The display looks like the figure to the right. 
Press the [A] key to exit Modify Mode. 
MOD
 disappears from the display. You 
return to View Mode. Make sure the entry you made is correct before moving to 
the next prompt.
