PocketRave Driver Download and Installation Instructions 

PocketRave Driver for Windows 98 SE

Important

: DO NOT connect the PocketRave until directed to, at the end of these instructions. 

 
 

1.  When the software download begins, select "Save" when prompted to either "Run" or Save".  
 
2.  When choosing where to save the file, select a familiar location, like “My Documents” or 

the “Desktop”. So that when the download has finished, the file will be easy to find. 

 
3.  The download is a Setup/Installation application that installs the driver for the 

“PocketRave”. 

 

4.  When the download has completed, locate and run the file 

“MP3V256_PocketRave_Win98SE_Driver_Installer.exe”.   

 

5.  When the Welcome screen is displayed, click “Next”. 

 

6.  The application will then install the drivers for the “PocketRave”. 
 
7.  When the installation has finished there will be a prompt to restart your computer; “Yes, I 

want to restart my computer now.” or “…later”, if “Yes” is selected, the application will 
shutdown and restart the computer immediately. If it is not convenient, select “No”, but 
remember that the installation is not complete until the computer is restarted. 

 
8.  Once the computer has been restarted, by which ever method, the PocketRave can be 

connected to an available USB port.  

 
9.  There will be several screens as the “USB Mass Storage Device” is recognized and the 

driver is installed, but when all of that is finished, the PocketRave can be viewed by opening 
“My Computer”. The successfully installed and connected PocketRave will be displayed as 
a new “Removable Disk”, with drive letter.
