Custom Paper (1 to 10)
Paper No. 1 to 10
When using non-Epson media, you can save the custom paper
settings according to the media characteristics of that paper
which are Platen Gap, Paper Thickness, Paper Feed Adjust, Drying
Time, and Paper Suction. You can save up to 10 by assigning them
to Paper No.1 to Paper No.10. After saving, you can print using
the saved settings simply by specifying the Paper Number (Paper
No.). Even when the printer is turned off, the saved settings are
retained.
See the following for more details on the parameters.
U
As well as this method, there are another two methods for creating
Custom Paper settings.
❏ Setting with EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2
EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2 is a utility for performing various
maintenance procedures for the printer. You can find it on
the Software Disc supplied with this printer. By using EPSON
LFP Remote Panel 2, you can easily save Custom Paper
settings in the printer's memory. See the EPSON LFP Remote
Panel 2 help for details.
❏ Setting and saving with the printer driver
Windows: Set Media Settings items in the Main screen and
then save.
U
Mac OS X: Set in the Paper Configuration screen.
See the printer driver help for more details.
When Custom Paper settings are made both in the printer's Menu
and in the printer driver, the printer driver settings are given
priority when printing from the printer driver.
Custom Paper
When making settings, check the paper's characteristics in advance. For the paper's characteristics, check the paper's
manual or with your local dealer.
You can check the saved settings in Test Print - Custom Paper from the Menu.
Before making the settings, load the paper that you are going to use. Also, make sure to select the paper from Paper
Type
first, and then make the Platen Gap setting and so on.
If colors in printed images on the custom paper are uneven, use unidirectional printing. For unidirectional printing,
select the Main screen - Print Quality - Quality Options from the printer driver (for Windows), or Print Settings (for
Mac OS X), and then clear the High Speed check box.
