Adjusting the Exposure Manually
Applicable to: Full Auto shooting mode A, Manual shooting mode

Generally, the brightness of the subject that is being shot is
automatically adjusted according to the reference values of the
camera. However, the brighter or darker areas of an image may
appear unclear depending on the shooting conditions. To prevent
this from occurring, you can correct the exposure manually.

Set to the Manual Exposure mode.

Press the [AE ±] button on the recorder unit.

The AE value appears on the screen, and the adjustment
mode is enabled.

Adjust the exposure.

Operate with the [ADJ.] knob on the recorder unit.

Turn upward to increase the value and make the image
brighter.

Turn downward to decrease the value and make the image
darker.

Confirm the setting value.

Press the [SET] button on the recorder unit.

The manual setting value is set.
(The setting value (-6 to +6) is displayed on the screen.)

Press the [AE ±] button several times until the
AE value display disappears.
Adjusting Manual Gain
Applicable to: Manual shooting mode M
You can select the gain of the video amplifier using the [GAIN]
switch on the camera recorder. The default positions of the switch
are as follows.
The light sensitivity can be electrically boosted using the [GAIN]
switch when there is insufficient illumination on the object. (3
positions)

The gain value of each position can be set to “GAIN L”/“GAIN M”
/“GAIN H” in the recording menu within the range of “0dB” to
“18dB” (in increments of 3 dB), as well as to “AGC” or “AUTO

Boosting the sensitivity causes the screen to appear grainier.
Automatic Gain Mode (Automatic Gain
Adjustment)
Set the camera recorder to the Full Auto shooting mode to activate
the Auto Gain Control mode. The gain of the video amplifier is
automatically set according to the brightness of the object.
(Selecting “AUTO SLOW-SHUTTER” switches to slow shutter,
while selecting any setting other than “AUTO SLOW-SHUTTER”
switches to “AGC”.)
