Activating the Enhanced Paging & Code Squelch System
1.
Press the [F] key, then press the [1(SQ TYP)] key to enable selection of the CTCSS/
DCS/ECS mode.

During CTCSS Decode, DCS, or EPCS operation, you may set up the VX-177 such that a
ringing “bell” sound alerts you to the fact that a call is coming in. Here is the procedure for
