Heater shuts off in use (ODS 
operates)

Slight smoke or odor during 
initial operation

1. Open  window  and/or  door 

for ventilation

or position 1 and let warm 
up for a minute

removed from line. Have gas 
checked by local natural or 
propane/LP gas company
