Transferring Calls
A call can be transferred in one of three ways:
• Consultative—The party to whom you want to transfer the call answers
• Consultative—The party to whom you want to transfer the call answers
their phone before you transfer the call or hang up.

the party to whom you want to transfer the call. You don’t have the option
of talking to the party.

Performing a Consultative Transfer
Perform a consultative transfer if you want to talk to the party to whom you’re
transferring the call.
To perform a consultative transfer:

During a call, tap the Transfer soft key or press
. The active call is
placed on hold.

From the Transfer to: screen, place a call to the party to whom you want
to transfer the call. See

If you’re using a handset, the transfer can be completed by putting the
handset on the cradle.
