You are offered different functions 
depending on whether you have se-
lected a file or a folder.

Highlight entry.

Delete all highlighted 
entries.

Delete all entries after a 
confirmation.

Create and name new 
folder.

Rename highlighted 
entry.

Select IrDA transmis-
sion route.

Set sort criteria (alpha-
betical, type, time).

Retrieve information on 
the selcted file/folder.

Information on the in-
serted MultiMedia-
Card™.

Load bitmap into the 
display.

Remove bitmap from 
the display

Load display language.

Open an entry.

Play an entry.

Read SMS.

Move entry from one 
folder to another.

You can find bitmaps for your phone 
at: 
www.my-siemens.com/city

From there, you can load more than 
1000 bitmaps, logos and Java appli-
cations directly onto your phone. 

In the City Portal, you will find a list 
of the countries in which you can or-
der bitmaps.

As soon as a bitmap is received on 
your phone via SMS, you will see 
the message “Receiving...” on your 
phone’s display.  

The message “Data receive com-
plete” indicates that the bitmap has 
been saved to the MultiMedia-
Card™  in the 

 directory.

The 

 option in the Card-

Explorer menu allows you to load 
the bitmap into the display.

Files that your phone requires are stored on 
the  MultiMediaCard™in addition to your 
own data, such as music. System files that 
are not required (such as other languages) 
can be deleted to increase capacity. Note 
that this is likely to reduce the functions 
that the phone can perform.
If you need to restore any files to the Multi-
MediaCard™ they are available for down-
loading from the Internet at
www.my-siemens.com/sl45i (see p. 77).
