The TELEPERM M process control system consists of function-
ally different components which are optimized for the various
problems encountered in process automation. Because of their
modular design, these components are also referred to as sys-
tems.

The CS 275 bus system has exceptional real--time properties.
Every bus participant is provided with the current process data
at all times. The capacity of the bus system is large enough
such that sufficient reserve is available for transmitting mes-
sages (e. g. process alarms) even with a high cyclic loading.

Automatic test routines guarantee data reliability. The user can
configure which messages must be acknowledged by the re-
