Description, Features
and Benefits
The LightStyle™ Series LS-10d Home Theater Projector and DHD Controller
encompasses Runco’s award-winning three-chip performance in an elegant, sleek
package. Feature rich, including advanced connectivity and the latest-generation video
processing, the LS-10d provides style and elegance to the most exacting custom
theaters.
Impressive, unique and unlike single-chip DLP™ implementations, no color wheel is used
in the LS-10d. Instead, it harnesses the power of three advanced 16:9 DMD’s™ and
12-degree mirror tilt for unsurpassed black level performance. The impressive brightness
is further bolstered by the improved contrast capabilities of the stylish LS-10d. This
reduces mechanical complexity and compromises to color spectrum purity.
The LS-10d comes with an external, all-digital signal processor/controller/scaler featuring
advanced ViVix IV™ video processing, superb scaling (up to 1080p) and aspect ratio
control. The LS-10d is enhanced further by significant horizontal and vertical lens shift
capability for maximum installation flexibility.
The LS-10d’s 16:9 native aspect ratio DMD array makes it ideal for widescreen viewing,
while its 3-chip, 1920 x 1080 native resolution produces crisp, crystal clear high-definition
images with richly saturated colors, deep black levels and natural, highly refined detail.
The LS-10d features Runco’s revolutionary new Personal Color Equalizer™ (PCE), which
allows color adjustment that includes those exactly defined by the cinematographer and
the color preferences of each individual viewer for each source.
In addition to Runco's proprietary Personal Color Equalizer, the LS-10d can also be paired
with Runco’s new CineGlide™ lens solution. Through an ingenious combination of
software, electronics and precision anamorphic optics, CineGlide provides
uncompromised widescreen reproduction of movies originally filmed in the “scope” 2:35:1
format. It maintains constant vertical height on the screen just as in a movie theater. When
a viewer transitions from 1.78:1 (16:9) program material to superwide 2.35:1, the image
simply gets wider while full screen height is maintained, eliminating useless black bars on
the top and bottom of the screen.
Rounding out this projector’s impressive feature set are discrete input source, aspect ratio
and power on/off control (via serial commands or IR codes), for seamless integration with
automation control systems.
CineGlide requires the use of a 2.35:1 or similar aspect ratio superwide
format screen.
