The DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E supports many digital audio formats. The following table shows which outputs work
with each format.

Audio Formats & DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E Outputs

HDMI OUT
(digital)

a

a.
The Digital Out/Digital 2 settings apply to the HDMI OUT (see page 75). Components must support HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital
Content Protection) in order to play DVD-Video. The DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E does.

i.LINK
(digital)

b

b.
The Digital Out/Digital 1 settings apply to the i.LINK sockets (see page 74). Components must support DTCP (Digital Transmission
Content Protection) in order to play DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, and SACD. The DV-SP1000/DV-SP1000E does.

2-channel stereo sources are output only by the FRONT AUDIO OUT sockets. For multichannel sources, the Downmix Setting determines
how the FRONT AUDIO OUT sockets work (see page 76).
