You can select the image quality mode according to the type of originals.

Set the original.

Press the image quality mode select key to select the 
desired mode.

Press the Start key. Copying starts.

You can adjust the copy exposure in each of the image quality modes. (See

If you select the Photo mode, the manual copy exposure mode is set. (See

Select to copy originals that contain a mixture of both text and 
photographs.

Select to copy originals that contain large amounts of text, such as 
documents.

Select to copy originals that contain photographs.
