Setting TAM MODE
Setting TAM MODE allows you to receive telephone messages and fax transmissions while the fax is
unattended. When you cancel TAM MODE, any new telephone messages will be played automatically.

When TAM MODE is set and a call is received, the fax will respond as described below.

Press [TAM] to set TAM MODE.

memos, with a total maximum recording time of 10 minutes can be recorded. You can set a
maximum recording time of 120 seconds for each telephone message (see p. 7-3).

When the fax is set to MANUAL MODE and MAN/AUTO SWITCH has been set to OFF, TAM
MODE will be activated if the fax rings 15 times and the call is not answered (only when an outgoing
message has been recorded). When the call is disconnected, the fax returns to MANUAL MODE.
