Static Route
This chapter shows you how to configure static routes for your ZyXEL device.
12.1 Static Route
Each remote node specifies only the network to which the gateway is directly connected, and
the ZyXEL device has no knowledge of the networks beyond. For instance, the ZyXEL device
knows about network N2 in the following figure through remote node Router 1. However, the
ZyXEL device is unable to route a packet to network N3 because it doesn't know that there is a
route through the same remote node Router 1 (via gateway Router 2). The static routes are for
you to tell the ZyXEL device about the networks beyond the remote nodes.

12.2 Configuring Static Route
Click Advanced > Static Route to open the Static Route screen.
