2.16   SD Card Slot  Troubleshooting 

The 3G is installed as an 3G card. If the 3G malfunctions, there may be a bad connection 
between the 3G and the main board. Or the 3G or main board might be damaged. 

Disassemble the computer following the steps described in Chapter 4, Replacement 
Procedures and perform the following checks: 

Check 1 

Make sure the 3G is firmly connected to C

ON5601 on the main board and the 

connector of the 3G. 

 

If a connector is disconnected, connect it firmly and repeat Procedure 1. If the 3G 
is still not functioning properly, perform Check 2. 

Check 2 

The 3G may be defective or damaged. Replace it with a new one following the 
steps in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the 3G is still not functioning 
properly, perform Check 3. 

Check 3 

The main board may be defective or damaged. Replace it with a new one 
following the steps in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures.
