Manually Set a Static IP Address for the Management CPU

Enter privilege mode by typing enable at the console prompt.

The system will ask for the password.

Press the Enter key without providing a password. There is no password defined in

The following command shows the switch is assigned an IP address of 192.168.10.10,
as an example.

By default, the management CPU and all the ports belong to VLAN 1. Thus, by
assigning the IP address to VLAN 1, the management CPU can be reached.

An alternative way to assign an IP address to the management VLAN (CPU) is to use
the ezconfig command. To use it, simply type ezconfig on the console command line.

Log In to the Web Configuration Utility

Log in to the switch Web server by entering the IP address assigned in the last step
into a Web browser (http://192.168.1.0.1 in the example shown).

Type the default user name of admin and default of no password, or whatever
password you have set up. Then click the OK button.

Once you have logged in, your Web browser should automatically find the switch and
display the home page, similar to the illustration shown below.
