Saving a configuration, image, or file
You can save the current configuration to the active configuration file or to a named file by issuing 
the save command.
If a save is done without a file name, the save is done to the other of the two file locations and 
switches that one to requested and active. This results in a rotating use of the configuration file 
locations, that is, one is from before the last save and the other is from the previous save.
If a save is done with a file name but not 1 or 2 (indicates the config file location), then the file is 
saved to a completely separate file that is not part of the config 1 or 2. This allows the user to 
create named files that they can use later to replace the files in the file 1 or 2 locations. This 
provides a means of making a series of major configuration changes and saving off them 
discretely while maintaining the currently running configuration so it can be restored later (if 
needed). 
Syntax: save [filename]
set file configuration
 <1 | 2> [filename] [requestactive]
set file image <1 or 2> [filename] [requestactive]
Arguments:
1 | 2
1 is for processor number 1; 2 is for processor number 2
filename
(optional) specifies an up to 8-character name with a 
3-character extension for the file to download
requestactive
(optional) indicates that you want to make this file the active 
image or configuration on the next reset
Example:
In this example, the file named main.cfg is saved to the 5100/6100 VDR Flash memory.
