Interfaces

The general WAN commands listed in this section are common to the T1 5100/6100 VDR 

model. The general commands include:
•

setting the IP address of the WAN interface

•

viewing WAN statistics

•

viewing  WAN  state

For all WAN configuration commands, the commit and save and then a reset command is 

required to activate the configuration changes. 

You can set the static IP address and subnet mask of the 5100/6100 VDR by issuing the set ip 

wan command. You must commit and save any changes you make.
Syntax: set ip wan <IP address> <netmask>
Arguments:

IP address

standard notation IP address

netmask

Example:

In this example, the WAN interface IP address is set to 205.176.94.11 with a subnet mask of 

255.255.255.0 (see Figure 3-1 on page 54).
