Connect the camera to the printer and turn on the
printer´s power.

Switching between Shooting/Playback
Shooting Modes
:  AUTO
The camera automatically selects settings.
: Portrait
The background is blurred and the
subject is in clear focus.
: Landscape
For shooting landscape scenes.
: Night Scene
For photographing human subjects
against the backdrop of an evening sky or a night scene.
: Stitch Assist
Images shot in Stitch Assist mode can be merged together on a
computer to make a single panoramic image.
: Movie
For shooting movies.

Choose the image you wish to print
and press the SET button.
Select print settings as required.
D.
Select [Print] using the BAC or D
arrow on the omni selector and press the
SET button.
The printing of the image will start.

Macro Mode
Press the   button to display   on the LCD monitor and the
display panel.
Use this mode to shoot close-ups of flowers or small objects.
* Recordable Area at Minimum Shooting Range
<Shooting Distance>
At wide angle end: approx. 75 x 55 mm (3.0 x 2.2 in.)
<From the front of lens: 5 cm (2.0 in.)>
At telephoto end: approx. 56 x 42 mm (2.2 x 1.7 in.)
<From the front of lens: 15 cm (5.9 in.)>
Changing the Displayed Information
Press the DISPLAY button to switch the displayed information as follows.
In addition, there are functions that can be set in each shooting mode. For details
see “Functions Available in Each Shooting Mode” at the end of the Camera User
Guide
.
Zoom
Flash range: 70 cm – 5 m (2.3 – 16 ft.) (wide angle)/70 cm – 4 m (2.3 –
13.1 ft.) (telephoto)
* Red-eye reduction: This feature reduces the effect of light reflecting back
from the eyes and making them appear red.
Flash
Press the   button to switch between flash modes.
(Some settings are not available with certain shooting modes.)
 Wide Angle
Zoom out from the subject.
 Telephoto
Zoom in on the subject.
* The zoom can be adjusted from 35 to
140 mm (35mm film equivalent).
Shooting:
Turn the mode lever to 
 while pressing the
release button.

that [Erase] is selected and press the SET button.
Select [Cancel] using the B or A arrow on the omni selector to
cancel without erasing.

Install the battery pack.
Slide the battery cover open.
Insert the battery pack all the way in until the battery lock clicks, then
close the battery cover.

Install the CF card.
Slide the CF card slot cover open.
Insert the CF card as shown in the illustrations until the CF card eject
button fully extends, then close the CF card slot cover.

• Battery charger model names and types vary by region.

Charge the battery pack.
Place the battery pack in the battery charger and plug the charger into
a power outlet or attach the power cord to the battery charger and
plug the other end into a power outlet.
The charge indicator blinks while the battery pack is charging and
lights steadily once charging is complete. Charging the battery pack
takes approximately 90 minutes.
