LCD Messages

The following messages are displayed in the LCD when the MultiPASS is performing a
function or encounters an error. The error code appears in the Activity Report. (

The unit is waiting to
redial the other party’s
number because the line
was busy or the other
party did not answer
when you tried to send
the document.

The telephone number
you dialed is busy.

The fax number dialed
was incorrect.

The other party’s fax
machine is not working.

The other party is not
using a G3 machine.

The touch tone/rotary
pulse setting on your unit
is incorrect.

The receiving fax
machine did not answer
within 55 seconds (after
all automatic redialing
attempts).

The Cyan BJ tank in the
Color or Photo BJ
cartridge is empty.

The unit is calling the
other party’s fax machine.

Wait for the unit to
automatically redial the
number. If you want to
cancel automatic redialing,
wait until the unit starts
dialing the number, press
Stop then
