Scanning Text Directly from

OmniPage Limited Edition

This section guides you through the basic steps of using OmniPage 
Limited Edition to scan and recognize text. See “Acquiring Scanned Text 
into Your Word Processor” on page 8 for information on using 
OmniPage Limited Edition from within other applications.

There are three basic steps:

• Click the Acquire Image button to scan a page.

• Click the OCR button to recognize text on the page.

• Click the Save As button to save the recognized text in your word 

processor’s file format.

Scan a Page

Double-click the OmniPage Limited Edition icon in the Caere 
Applications program group.
The program launches and the OmniPage Limited Edition 
main window appears.
