9. Follow the prompts on the screen.

Note:  Do not remove the diskette or restart the computer until

prompted to do so by a message on the screen.

10. After the update session completes, turn off the monitor and computer.

11. Remove the POST/BIOS update (flash) diskette.

12. Unplug the power cords and remove the computer cover. See

“Removing the cover” on page 59.

13. Move switch 2 back to the OFF position.

14. Replace the computer cover.

15. Plug in the power cords.

16. Turn on the monitor and all installed external devices, and then turn on

the computer.

17. When the computer enters the Configuration/Setup Utility program and

posts a 162 error, press Enter. The Error screen appears.

18. In the Error screen, select Automatically reconfigure system and

continue, and then press Enter.

19. Reset the date and time.

20. Save the settings, exit from the Configuration/Setup Utility program, and

then turn off the computer.

21. Restart the computer.

After you finish this procedure, you might need to reconfigure some settings
in the Configuration/Setup Utility program. Start the Configuration/Setup
Utility program and reset any settings that have changed.

An optional device such as an adapter, printer, or CD-ROM drive might
come with a diskette or CD. Diskettes or CDs that are included in option
packages usually contain files that the system needs for recognizing and
activating the option. Until you install the necessary files, the new device
might cause an error message or might not function.

If your optional device or adapter comes with a diskette or CD, follow the
instructions that come with the option to install any required files.
