Connecting a satellite receiver or cable box
Connecting a cable box, digital cable box or satellite receiver
Before using the unit, follow the steps below to connect the unit to an external receiver and the TV.
Connecting to a cable box, digital cable box or satellite receiver with COMPOSITE jacks
Use a RF cable (supplied) to connect the RF IN on the cable box/satellite receiver to the antenna outlet.
Use a RF cable (same as supplied) to connect the RF OUT on the cable box/satellite receiver to the RF input on the DVD Recorder.
Use a RF cable (supplied) to connect the RF IN on the cable box/satellite receiver to the antenna outlet.
Use a RF cable (same as supplied) to connect the RF OUT on the cable box/satellite receiver to the RF input on the DVD Recorder.
Use a RF cable (same as supplied) to connect the RF OUT on the DVD Recorder to the RF IN on the television.
Use AUDIO/VIDEO cables (supplied) to connect the AUDIO/VIDEO output on the unit to the audio/video input on the television.
Note:
If your cable TV box has both AUDIO/VIDEO OUT jacks and RF OUT jacks, we recommend connecting the AUDIO/VIDEO
OUT jacks with the DVD Recorder’s AV2 Rear jacks. Using this connection provides better picture quality.
