5.  Select the ID of the virtual port you want to modify in the ID 

column of the Virtual Ports table.

6.  Click Modify. The Modify Virtual Port dialog box opens 

(Figure 3-6).

* Note:  In order to change the virtual port parameters, 

the Administrative Status state must be Down. 
After modifying the parameters, change the 
Administrative Status state to Up in order for 
the changes to take effect.

7.  Select the parameters you want to modify.

8.  Use the information in Table 3-2 to modify your virtual port 

parameters.

* Note:  You can only view the Physical Port and VPI 

parameters from the Modify Virtual Port dialog 
box.

9.  Click APPLY to save your changes, or CANCEL to restore 

the previous settings.
