the display
The batteries are not loaded properly. Verify that the batteries’ polarities = 
and - are correct (☞ P.14).
Battery power is getting low.

Battery power is getting low.
Replace with new batteries (☞ P.14).
The power is off.
Turn the power on (☞ P.18).
The recorder is in HOLD mode.
Release the recorder from HOLD

The earphone is connected.
Unplug the earphones to use the

The microphone sensitivity is too low.
Set the microphone sensitivity to
