initiating a connection.

Wait for dialtone
Check this box to have the modem wait for a dialtone before attempting to dial a number. This
is useful if your phone line does not always produce a standard dial tone immediately. For
example, some telephone networks temporarily alter the dial tone to signal that you have new
voice mail.

as a default for the next connection. If this box is not checked, there will be no number selected

WARNING
When manually scanning for networks, Sprint SmartView currently displays all
mobile networks in the area, even those with which Sprint does not have roaming
agreements. Some networks displayed may not allow you to connect. Others may
charge you very high roaming fees. For this reason, manual network selection is not
recommended for most users.
