Using SMS
SMS (Short Messaging Service) allows you to send and receive short messages
(usually not more than 160 characters) through the network.

Determining whether you have new SMS

When you have new SMS messages, a number is displayed next to the Watcher

in the Dock. The number indicates how many new (unread) SMS
messages you have.
Displaying the SMS window
To display the SMS window:
1.
From the Extras menu on the Watcher menu, choose
SMS
.
Creating and sending an SMS message
To create and send an SMS message:
1.
Ensure you have 1X service.
2.
Display the SMS window (see above).
3.
Click
Send SMS
.
4.
In the
To: field, enter the recipient's phone number.

In the To: field, enter the first or last name of a person who is in Address Book.

Click the
To: button, and then select a recipient from Address Book.
5.
In the
Message: field, type your message. The maximum length of an SMS
message is usually about 160 characters.
6.
Click
Send
.
