ANNOUNCMENT
DigiPath software version 2.1.0.27 (Part# 301K11766) has been released 3/26/04. This patch should be
installed on all DigiPath 2.1 software systems. All software support channels will be based on the assumption
that all systems have been upgraded to this version.

• 2.1 through 2.1.0.26 Upgrades – The upgrade kit will include the 2.1.0.27 patch and instructions on the
installation of the 2.1.0.27 patch. Please do not install the 2.1.0.1 patch. If this is an install and not a
migration from 1.2 to 2.1 then it is not necessary to load 2.1.0.1 prior to loading the 2.1.0.27 patch.

When updating from a 1.2.x.x system please note a change in sequence when upgrading and migrating

1. Install 2.1 base software (Part # 301K05820) with the 2.1.0.1 software patch (2.1.0.3 for non-english
versions).

CAUTION
After installing the color scan and print option, the 2.1.0.27 patch needs to be re-installed on the system.
All DigiPath patches are cumulative which means that all new patches also contain all of the previous patches
within them. A listing of all SPARS fixed for each version of patch software is listed below.

The DigiPath utility ‘xdbbackup’ used for backing up and restoring the DigiPath database now works, but uses
arguments that are identified incorrectly in the System Administrator Guide. The correct arguments are
documented in the Customer Bulletin # 57.
