Using the appliance
General
Withthisappliance,youcanfilterwaterand
dispenseitatroomtemperatureorheated
tospecifictemperatures.
Ifyouhavequestionsregardingthefilter

Note:Theapplianceischeckedbefore
delivery,whichmeanstheremaybesome
isolateddropsofwaterfound.Thesedrops
ofwaterareharmless,simplyremovewith
acloth.
Setting up the appliance
Beforeyouusetheapplianceforthefirst
time,dothefollowing:
►
Removefilm.
►
Unrollorpushintherightamountof
cablefromthecablecompartmentand
plugthecableintoapoweroutlet.
►
Removethewatertankandcleanit
thoroughlyunderrunningwater.
►
Insertthefiltercartridgeasdescribedin
thesectiontitled“BRITAMAXTRAwater
filtersystem”.
►
Fillthewatertankuptothe
maxmark
withfresh,coldwater.Useonlynon-
carbonateddrinkingwater.
►
Replacethewatertankandpushitfirmly
downwardintoplace.
►
Setthe
on/offswitchtoon.Alldisplay
itemswilllightupbriefly,andthenthe
90°Ciconstayslit.
►
Placeaglassorcupholdingatleast
150mlonthecupstandunderthewater
outlet.
►
Pressthe
start/stopbuttontodispense
oneportionofwatertorinsethe
appliance.
Note:Beforeusingtheapplianceforthe
firsttimeorafteralongperiodofnon-use,
donotdrinkthefirsttwoglassesofwater.
The machine is now ready to use.
Dispensing water
►
Setthecupstandtotheappropriate
heightforthecuporglass.
►
Placethecuporglassunderthewater
outlet.
►
Pressthe
temp. setbuttontoselectthe
desiredtemperature.
►
Pressthe
start/stopbutton.The
waterwilldispensefromtheoutlet.The
selectedtemperatureflasheswhilethe
waterisdispensed.
Height adjustment
Theadjustablecupstandletsyouadjust
thedistancebetweenyourcuporglassand
thewateroutlet.Thelowestsettingissuit-
ablefortallerglassesandcups.Forsmaller
cupsorsoupcupsyoucaninsertthecup
standintooneoftheupperopenings.
Important: Don´tusetheappliancewithout
thecupstand.
