  New Features and Enhancements

Platform Enhancements
The following platform enhancements were made in this release:
New Plug and Play dashboard—Simplifies the on-boarding of network devices using the new and improved Plug and Play 
workflow.You can view profile statistics and Plug and Play jobs on the dashboard.
Instant Access Workflow—Provides the Instant Access Fabric Extender (FEX) management, VSS support, Access Port 
management, and simplifies deploying Instant Access. With the Instant Access workflow, you can enable Instant Access 
in your network with the ability to manage it for Day N.
Deployment flow for configuration templates using the wizard—Simplifies configuration template deployment with the 
new enhanced workflow. 
Software image management enhancement—Introduces an easy-to-use workflow for software image management which 
simplifies and optimizes software image management and shortens lengthy maintenance window periods.
Global variable support in configuration templates—Allows you to define global variables for CLI templates, which you 
can use later while creating CLI templates.
Global Offline Search—Allows you to search in archived device configurations and reports on configurations matching 
the search pattern you specify.
Converged Access Workflow—Helps accelerate the Converged Access solution with error-free deployment, automatic 
implementation of rich IOS services, Guest wireless solution and various Cisco recommended best practices to build 
reliable wireless network infrastructure. 
TrustSec Readiness Assessment—Enables you to choose preferred options for provisioning configurations to 
TrustSec-capable devices to enable 802.1X and other TrustSec functionalities.
Compliance Audit for Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers—Allows you to define device configuration baselines and audit 
policies for Wireless LAN Controllers and fix any configuration violations. You can also schedule compliance audits 
against multiple controller configurations and generate an audit report that indicates if any configurations deviate from the 
specified baseline.
Site Visibility—Provides a quick way to view the health of your sites by navigating to Services > Application Visibility 
& Control > Site Visibility.
Routing Table monitoring—Allows you to view routing table information for all managed routers. You can view the 
routing table and neighbor information for BGP and EIGRP protocols.
PfR Monitoring Improvements—Allows you to monitor the performance of traffic classes and utilization of WAN links.
Alarm Policies—Allows you to control the alarms generated, thereby reducing unwanted noise in the system. The 
following alarm policies are supported in this release:
