The VcCheck readme file on the CCO Software Download Page contains the following changes, updated 
from the version on the software CD for Release 4.1.3. The readme file on CCO replaces the readme file 
on the software CD.

Setting the Java environment variable:

Windows: 

From the command prompt, enter: 

USE_JAVA=C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1_02

has been changed to:

set USE_JAVA=C:\Program Files\JavaSoft\JRE\1.3.1_02

The line:

Go to the CD directory named VcCheck and run the tool. 

has been changed to:

Go to the CD directory named VcCheck and run the tool. (If you copy the 

VcCheck directory to another disk, please note that the path to the 

VcCheck directory must not contain any spaces.)

This issue is resolved in Release 4.1.4.

This section highlights new features and functionality for Release 4.1.x. For detailed documentation of 
each of these features, consult the user documentation. 

As of Release 4.1.3 the column “Path Width” has been added to Alarms, Conditions and History panes. 
The Path Width column provides the width of the VC4 path on which the alarm is raised or cleared, in 
units of VC4 (how many VC4s wide the path is). The path width only applies to the “VC4-” alarmable 
object type. For any non-VC4 object, the column remains blank.

RPR (Resilient Packet Ring) is a new protocol available on the ML-Series cards enabling you to use SDH 
bandwidth more efficiently, with 50 ms recovery times.
