Release Notes for Cisco Video Surveillance IP Camera and IP Dome Firmware Release 2.4.0

  Upgrading to Release 2.4.0
ip_address is the IP address of your IP camera.
port_number is the port number that is used for HTTPS or HTTP connections to the IP camera. 
You do not need to enter a port number if you are connecting through the default HTTPS port 
443 or the default HTTP port 80.

Enter your IP camera user name and password when prompted, then click OK.

Click the Setup link to access configuration menus for the camera.

Click Administration, then click Firmware.
The Firmware window appears.
Step 3
In the Firmware window, click the Upgrade button.
The Upgrade Firmware window appears.
Note
On some web browsers, the following security certificate error appears when clicking the 
Upgrade button: 
“There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by 
this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.”
If you receive this error, click the Continue to this website link to advance to the Upgrade 
Firmware window.
Step 4
In the Upgrade Firmware window, enter the path and folder where the firmware upgrade file for the IP 
camera is stored.
The upgrade file may be stored on another PC. You can click Browse to find this location.
Step 5
Click Upgrade and follow the on-screen prompts to load the firmware upgrade on the IP camera.
Do not power down the IP camera during the upgrade procedure.
After you upgrade firmware, the IP camera restarts automatically. It retains all configuration 
information.
Upgrading from Release 1.x or 1.x.W to Release 2.4.0
If your IP camera is running firmware release 1.x or 1.x.W, perform the following steps to upgrade its 
firmware to release 2.4.0 using the camera firmware upgrade utility.
Note
The camera firmware upgrade utility is not supported by Windows 7. You must use Windows XP SP2 or 
SP3 to run the camera firmware upgrade utility.
You can use this procedure to upgrade up to two IP cameras simultaneously. Be aware that all settings 
for the IP camera, including its IP address, resets to the factory default after an upgrade.
