Cloud Web Security Connector
The Cloud Web Security Connector allows you to connect to Cisco Cloud Web Security, directing traffic
to the cloud for policy enforcement and threat defense. When the Appliance is in Cloud Web Security
Connector, it does not serve as a proxy for on-premise policy enforcement and it does not monitor Layer
4 traffic. In Cloud Web Security Connector mode, AsyncOS offers a subset of the features offered in
standard mode.

Administering the Web Security Appliance
You can manage the Web Security appliance using a web-based administration tool. When you first
access the appliance, the web interface launches the System Setup Wizard to perform an initial
configuration. After running the System Setup Wizard, you can use the web interface or Command Line
Interface (CLI) to customize settings and maintain your configuration.
