Appendix 2 – Ensure that root access via SSH is enabled 

To ensure that SSH is enabled: 
1.  Log in to the Cisco VCS CLI as root and type: 

rootaccess –d 
This will display the current setting. 

2. If 

“ssh off” is reported, type: 

rootaccess –s on 

3.  On the web UI, from the System administration page (System Configuration > System) ensure 

that SSH service is set to On.
