Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the
Cisco uBR7200 Modem Cards with 1 Downstream, 6 Upstream Ports
and 2 Downstream, 8 Upstream Ports.
The last day to order the affected product is
February 16, 2007. Customers with active service contracts
will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 in EoL product bulletin.
Table 1
describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco uBR7200 Modem Cards with 1 Downstream, 6 Upstream Ports and 2
Downstream, 8 Upstream Ports. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the newer Cisco uBR7200 Universal Cards (with part numbers UBR-MC16X, UBR-MC16U, UBR-
MC28X or UBR-MC28U) that have the same density, plus additional features including Advanced PHY, ATDMA, and onboard CPU for
enhanced RF and throughput performance. The modem cards with part numbers UBR-MC16U and UBR-MC28U have an internal
upconverter, while the cards with part numbers UBR-MC16X and UBR-MC28X do not. Table 2 provides relevant information for migrating to
the replacement product.
