Appendix 4 – Allow dialing to Cisco VCS domain from Cisco phones

Configure a SIP route pattern that tells CUCM that anything with a domain vcs.domain needs to be 
sent down the Cisco VCS SIP trunk 

1.  On CUCM, go to Call Routing > SIP Route Pattern. 

2.  Click Add New. 

3.  Configure the fields as follows: 

 

Domain for calls, for example vcs.domain 

(As set up in System > Device Pool) 

Required Trunk to route calls to the Cisco VCS Control 

 

4.  Click Save.  

 

When NNNN@vcs.domain is dialed by an endpoint registered to CUCM, CUCM will route the call to 
the Cisco VCS as NNNN@<IP address of VCS>:5060.
