B2BUA registered FindMe users need the “OCS/Lync gateway” VCS be authoritative for the 
OCS/Lync server’s shared domain. 

1.  Go to the

2.  Click New. 

3.  Set Name to ciscotp.com. 

4.  Click Create domain. 

 

The “OCS/Lync gateway” VCS(s) should be configured to use the same DNS server(s) as OCS/Lync 
server. 

On a machine running OCS/Lync server: 

1.  From the Windows 

 menu choose 

. 

2.  Type 

 into the Open field and click OK. A command window opens. 

3.  In the cmd.exe window type: 

 

4.  Note down the DNS server(s). 

Note: if the DNS server IP address is 127.0.0.1 that means that OCS/Lync server is using a DNS 
server on its own hardware. Instead of entering 127.0.0.1 on the Cisco VCS, use the IP address of 
the OCS/Lync server platform instead. 

On each “OCS/Lync gateway” VCS Control peer:
