For a call of this type: 

 

Signaling flows through OCS/Lync, B2BUA, and VCS Control. Optimal call routing may allow the 
call signaling not go through the “OCS/Lync gateway” VCS after the initial search (see VCS 
Administrator Guide for more details). 

 

Media is connected directly between the Lync client and the B2BUA. 

 

Media from the internal video endpoint flows through the VCS Control and is then connected 
directly to the B2BUA. 

 

Calls made in the opposite direction, internal video endpoint to MOC/Lync client will use the same 
signaling and media paths. 


