Configuring external manager settings
The
External manager
page (
System > External manager
) is used to configure the VCS's connection to
an external management system.
An external manager is a remote system, such as the Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (Cisco TMS),
used to monitor events occurring on the VCS, for example call attempts, connections and disconnections,
and as a place for where the VCS can send alarm information. The use of an external manager is optional.
