The following features are supported in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(26).
Route Switch Processor 16
The Route Switch Processor 16 (RSP16) is the latest-generation main system processor module for the
Cisco 7500 series routers. The RSP16 is not available as an upgrade to an existing RSP, but supports
VIP2, VIP4, and the new VIP6-80. The RSP16 contains the CPU and most of the memory components
for the router.
