Set Up a BFS Session for the ASI MPEG Source
Setting Up a BFS Session for the ASI MPEG Source
Follow these instructions to set up a BFS session for the ASI MPEG source.
1.
From the DNCS Administrative Console, select the System Provisioning
tab.

Click Source.
Result: The Source List window opens.
Result: The Source List window opens.

Click File and then select New.
Result: The Set Up Source window opens.
Result: The Set Up Source window opens.
4.
Follow these instructions to configure the Set Up Source window.
a) In the Source Name field, type ASI_BFS.
b) In the Source ID field, type a unique source ID that is greater than 201.

Note: The Source List window, which is still open, lists all source IDs
currently in use.
c) Click Save.
Result: The Source List window updates and the Set Up Source
window closes.
5.
On the Source List window, highlight the newly created BFS ASI source.

Click File and then select Source Definition.
Result: The Source Definition List window opens.
Result: The Source Definition List window opens.
7.
Click File and then select New Digital.
Result: The Set Up Digital Source Definition window opens.
Result: The Set Up Digital Source Definition window opens.
8.
Follow these instructions to configure the Set Up Digital Source Definition
window.
a) In the first part of the Session ID field, type all zeros.

b) In the second part of the Session ID field, type the source ID that you
defined in step 4.

Click Next.
Result: The Define Session portion of the Set Up Digital Source Definition
