Prisma HDRx Reverse Path Receiver Platform Redundant Powering

This application note describes how the Prisma



 HDRx Reverse Receiver Platform 

should be installed to provide powering redundancy and cooling. 

The Prisma HDRx platform consists of a 4 RU high chassis that can be mounted in a 

19- or 23-inch rack.  The unit can be mid-mounted for installation into a fiber 

management frame or front mounted for installation in a standard equipment rack.   

The Prisma HDRx chassis can accommodate up to 42 return path receivers, a 

network control module, and either a -48 V DC or 110/220 V AC power supply 

module.  Powering redundancy is provided by an external 1 RU rack-mount power 

supply that also contains a fan unit to provide additional cooling.
