Cisco ICM Software Upgrade Migration Guide, Release 6.0(0)
Step 4
Configure a Domain Controller (on same or separate machine).
Step 5
Join the domain.
Step 6
Install MS SQL Server 7.0 SP3/4 or MS SQL Server 2000 SP2.
Step 7
Create a MS SQL Server backup of the production logger database.
Step 8
Restore the MS SQL Server backup onto the new logger using MS SQL backup
/restore.
Note
Depending upon the version you initially installed, the data file
directories are located in a top level directory named either MSSQL or
MSSQL7. When restoring the data files, the MS SQL Server Restore
function defaults to MSSQL for this directory name. If necessary,
manually input the correct path (i.e., MSSQL7) during the Restore
function so that it matches the actual directory name.
Step 9
Export the ICM 4.6.2 registry key tree from the production logger.
Step 10
Import the ICM 4.6.2 registry key tree onto the new logger.
Step 11
Run ICM setup.exe on the new logger (from the media, not from local setup).
Step 12
Edit the instance and insert the new domain name.
Note
While you can use the DNS style domain name (i.e., name.com,
name.net) for Active Directory, ICM only supports a NetBIOS name (i.e.,
name).
Step 13
Edit the logger component, making any necessary changes based on the new
environment.
Step 14
Exit, then rerun setup.exe.
Step 15
Run Upgrade All.
Step 16
Execute the Domain Conversion Tool and enter the information for the new
environment.
Logger upgrade is complete.
