To resize a tool-based image map area (ImageReady)

Select an image map with the Image Map Select tool
or in the Web Content palette.
Note: If you select a polygonal image map, the cursor changes to a white arrow to show you where to point on the handle.
The other tools use the standard resize cursor.

Grab a handle of the boundary box by holding the mouse button down while the cursor is over the handle.

Drag a handle on the image map border to resize the image map area.
Note: To resize a layer-based image map area, move or edit the layer.

Select a rectangular or circular image map area.

In the Dimensions area of the Image Map palette, change one or more of the following options:
X
Specifies the distance, in pixels, between the left edge of a rectangular image map area, or the center point of a
circular image map area, and the origin of the ruler in the document window.
Y
Specifies the distance, in pixels, between the top edge of a rectangular image map area, or the center point of a
circular image map area, and the origin of the ruler in the document window.
Note: The default origin of the ruler is the upper left corner of the image.
W
Specifies the width of a rectangular image map area.
H
Specifies the height of a rectangular image map area.
R
Specifies the radius of a circular image map area.
To duplicate an image map area (ImageReady)
You can create a duplicate image map area with the same dimensions and settings as the original image map area.

Do one of the following:
•
Select one or more image map areas, and choose Duplicate Image Map Areas from the Image Map palette menu.
•
Select one or more image map areas, and Alt-drag (Windows) or Option-drag (Mac OS) from inside the image
map area.

Select a image map in the Web Content palette, and choose Duplicate Image Map from the palette menu.

Select a number of image maps with the Image Map Select tool. Either right-click (Windows) or Control-click
(Mac OS) with the cursor in one of the image maps. This brings up the context menu for image maps. Select
Duplicate Image Map Areas.

The duplicate image map area appears on top of the original (offset 10 pixels down and to the right), and becomes
the current selection. You can move, resize, or otherwise modify it.
