ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS2
User Guide
Select one of the following from the Match Layer dialog:
Current Animation
Applies layer attributes for the selected frame to all frames in the animation.
Current Slice/Image Map’s States
Applies layer attributes for the selected state to all states in the rollover.
All Rollovers
Applies layer attributes for the selected state to all states in all rollovers (in the image) that include the
layer.
Select the layer attributes you want to match (position, visibility, and style), and click OK.
Note: The default setting, Propagate Frame 1 Changes, dynamically updates all rollover states and animation frames,
based on a change in the first frame’s position, visibility, or layer style. If you want the changes in Frame 1 to remain only
in Frame 1, turn off this option by toggling it in the Layers palette pop-up menu.
Animations
Creating an animation
An animation is a sequence of images, or frames, that is displayed over time. Each frame varies slightly from the
preceding frame, creating the illusion of movement when the frames are viewed in quick succession.
You use the Animation palette and the Layers palette to create animation frames. In ImageReady you can also use
the Web Content palette to add an animation to a rollover state. Each frame represents a configuration of layers in
the Layers palette.
Illustration of an animation. The unicycle image is on its own layer; the position of the layer changes in each frame of the animation.
1.  Add a frame to the animation palette.
2.  Select a frame and edit the layers for that frame.
You can do any of the following:
•
Turn visibility on and off for different layers
•
Change the position of layers to make layer content move
•
Change layer opacity to make content fade in or out
