i). 

Carefully place the scanner in an upright position 
on its front. 

ii). 

Unlock the scanner by moving the lock switch 
beneath the scanner to the “Unlock” position (See 
Figure 2-1). 

iii). 

Gently place the scanner back to its normal 
position.
