With AVG 9 Anti Virus plus Firewall you can run scanning on demand (for instance
when you suspect an infection has been dragged to your computer) or based on a
scheduled plan. It is highly recommended to run the scans based on a schedule: this
way you can make sure your computer is protected from any possibility of getting
infected, and you will not have to worry about if and when to launch the scan.
