Do not remove the scanner belt assembly lower bracket unless it is damaged. If the

scanner belt assembly lower bracket needs to be replaced, the entire motor bracket must be
removed.

Perform a scanner calibration after replacing this part.

If streaks occur in the scanned image after replacing this part, remove the scanner glass and
cover. Clean the back side of the glass and the white calibration strip by using a lint-free cloth.

If, after calibrating and cleaning, scan-quality issues still exist, replace the flatbed unit
assembly.
