If you want to clean the pickup roller rather than replace it, use the following instructions.

Remove the pickup roller as described in steps 1 through 5 of 

. With the roller outside the printer, use the following steps to complete the cleaning.

Dampen a lint-free cloth with water and scrub the roller.

Using a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe the pickup roller to remove loosened dirt.

Allow the pickup roller to dry completely before you reinstall it in the printer. To reinstall the
pickup roller, see steps 6 through 9 of
