About Cartridge Combinations
You can get better results from your printer if you exchange the BJ cartridge depending on the work
that you are doing.  Read the following, and switch the cartridges in accordance to your task.  (The
figures show the cartridge holder, the cartridges to be installed, and the ink tanks.)
Standard colour combination
Use the colour BJ Cartridge (BC-33) for the following:
Printing monochrome documents
Printing general colour drafts
Colour printing of photographs when the best
possible quality is not needed
For more details, refer to the Getting Started manual.
Photo colour combination
Use the photo BJ Cartridge (BC-34 Photo) for the following:
Printing photographs with the best possible resolution
Printing scanned images (photographs) with the best
possible resolution

Printing only monochrome documents
The black BJ Cartridge (BC-30) should be used only when monochrome documents, and no colour
documents, are to be printed.  The ink tanks of the BJ cartridge are removable, so that you only have
to exchange the ink tank (BCI-3BK) when you run out of ink.
